Belmont Medical Centre Survey Results
The RNZCGP Survey Results from the recent patient survey at Belmont Medical Centre is available. This sought structured opinions from Belmont Medical Centre patients about of Dr Jenni Waddell and Dr Adrian Wan and gives satisfactory ratings of 93% and 91% respectively. Belmont Medical Centre processes and physical surroundings were part of this also and this was scored at 80% which was due to the issues below as highlighted -
1. Home Visiting Service - Patients were not aware of this and so did not know how to rate this, in most cases the field was blank.
2. Complaints – This was not answered well. What this was intended was rating the process of actually being able to complain and respond. Most of the fields were blank as most did not know what to put down.
3. After Hours – We refer patients to our provider – Shore Care in Milford. The question was about knowing about the arrangement and rating it, and so the answers were mostly blank.
4. Waiting time – this was rated less than satisfactory by 9 patients, presumably not being seen on time. We try where possible to stick to time however as some problems may take longer to sort out. Where possible reception tries to give advanced warning to those patients not already in the clinic.
The low score was due to not understanding how to answer the question due to paucity of information about the services listed above and so we will improve the information about these.
We will update our “Welcome Information Pack” to include this as well as highlight this on the website. The surveys will be repeated at regular intervals through the RNZCGP to see where we can improve our service. Thank you to all that participated.
New part time doctor for Belmont Medical Centre
Belmont Medical Centre is pleased to have another female doctor available to help with your medical needs. She will be part time, hopefully increasing her availability as demand arises.
